PERSONAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT ( PLE )
Personal Learning Environments (PLE) is a concept as well as an emerging practice that is one of the most innovative dimensions of technology-enabled student-centered learning. It is also one of the most challenging disruptions to the institutional traditional conception of knowledge¹. PLE hold the potential to address the needs of formal and informal learners for multi-sourced content and easily customizable learning environments². Here are some examples of Personal Learning Environments:
- **Moodle**: Moodle is an open-source learning management system that allows educators to create their own private website filled with dynamic courses that extend learning, any time, anywhere³.
- **Edmodo**: Edmodo is a social learning platform for teachers, students, and parents. It provides a safe and easy way for teachers and students to connect and collaborate, share content, and access homework, grades, and school notices.
- **Google Classroom**: Google Classroom is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
